Conference on E-Commerce Kicks Off in Neyshabur

TEHRAN May 17 (MNA) -- A conference on electronic commerce “Opportunities and Threats in Iran’s Economy” will convene in the northeastern city of Neyshabur on May 26 and 27, reports said here on Monday.

Speaking on behalf of the Iranian Asia Insurance Company Mohammad Reza Salamati the director of the public relations office explained customer-oriented policies are the main factors in the insurance industry’s approach toward e-commerce. As a co-sponsor of the event, the Asia Insurance Company will be presenting three papers at the two–day conference.

 

Through electronic commerce, the insurance industry will benefit from numerous opportunities such as improvement in service quality, accountability and more flexible insurance coverage, additionally offering more support for customers, Salamati also noted.

 

He also asserted that the Internet is a powerful, speedy, and precise tool for the exchange of information and plays a crucial role in the economic, social, cultural, and political development of a society. One of the most important functions of the Internet is its use in economic transactions between people and companies, and in regional and international markets, he also commented.
